March Madness Student Basketball Tournament at WJHS
March Madness is coming to NBMS!
The NBMS PTSA is excited to bring back the student basketball tournament that was last held in 2019.
What is it? A single elimination 5v5 basketball tournament for NBMS students! Girls’ and boys’ divisions for each grade. Championship team in each division will take home a prize to celebrate their win.
When and where is the tournament? Friday, March 10th, 6-9 pm at Walter Johnson High School Main Gym (back of the school). Gym opens at 5:30pm.
How to register a team? See the links below for the team registration form and student waiver form to participate in the event.
Your student also can pick up registration forms and waivers in the main office. All teams must submit a waiver with their registration. The tournament is also accepting individual player registrations. The PTSA will attempt to match players up with other "free agents" by grade/gender so anyone can play. However, only teams of five players will be allowed to participate in the tournament. Please have your student return the completed team registration form with signed waivers attached for each player to the main office. Deadline for team registration is March 3.
How much? There is a $3 fee for all participants (players and spectators), which you can pay here: https://nbmsptsa.membershiptoolkit.com/packet/2219
There will be a $5 fee at the door, but electronic payment is strongly recommended prior to the event.
If the fees are a financial hardship, please contact your student's School Counselor to have the fees waived.
